That’s right.  The Florida Pool Authority Wave put together a nice pitching performance, some solid defense, and a consistent offensive effort to win our first-round playoff game 16-6 last night.

What’d you think I was talking about?  Oh right.  The Rays.  Well, yeah, that was painful.

Rather than find some statistical explanation or analysis for whatever-the-hell-went-on at the Trop, I thought’d I’d take you through my afternoon because I bet many of you will sympathize.

At the start of the night I had faith.  I believe in Joe Maddon.  I thought he had this in him:


Then Chad Qualls gave up that bomb to Michael Young and I felt like this:


After the game, I took a second to review the boxscore and, in that moment, I sympathized with Harry Doyle:

Then I had some time to digest the Rays’ current situation and I realized, this isn’t over yet:
