How’d it go last night?
Were you as distracted as I was?
After I got home from a late meeting, the Mrs. and I had a discussion about the best way to take in this final week of the season. My first instinct was to have the Rays on TV and the Sox on an ESPN online gamecast.
But, I am not good at multi-tasking and, I couldn’t enjoy the Rays game while obsessing about the Sox score. So, I tried to just focus on the Rays. But I was drawn to the Sox score so, I surreptitiously followed the Sox score on my cell phone. Bad move. As they struggled, the Rays struggles seemed worse.
Anyone else having this problem? I need some group therapy here.
I hereby resolve, from this day until Winter, to watch only the Rays. I will find out whether the Sox won or lost in the morning. That is the only way I am going to enjoy the end of the season. Who’s with me?

couple things that hinder me from joining you, and they’re all west coast related.
1. It’s not a guarantee that the Rays will be on. In fact, it’s almost a guarantee that they won’t. So i have to follow on my computer or my phone every day/night anyway. Following online means following all games.
2. Even if the Rays are on tv, which is unlikely out here, I will watch only the Rays game, but can’t wait until the next morning to catch the Sox score, because it’s usually around 7 or 8pm when the Rays end. And let’s face it…i’m not Amish so going to bed at 8pm isn’t going to happen.
3. If any Amish people read this and get offended, you are terrible at being Amish.
It seems somewhat unavoidable as the Rays broadcast will most certainly keep us updated with the score of the Sox game. Not to mention I wouldn’t be able to sleep without knowing, win or lose.
