A few weeks ago we co-hosted a Rays-Sawx live chat with our Sweet Spot brethren from Fire Brand of the American League. Brendan, Chris, and I, and the Rays fans that joined had a good time and were begrudgingly forced to admit that there are normal, intelligent, fun fans of the Red Sox in the world. (Trust me, it took some doing, but those guys came through huge).
So, with some huge games upon us again we have scheduled two more live chats.
First up, Sox-Rays again with the boys from Fire Brand July 17, 2011.
Then, we are really going into enemy territory a few days later for Rays-Yankees with the guys from It Is About The Money, Stupid on July 20, 2011.
Mark your calendars. Sweet Spot game chats are everywhere and I don’t want to go in there alone.

I came in defensive, especially after coming off the game’s discussion board with the worst of the worst over there…but I quickly realized that they were strong at the blogger-chat.
Look forward to doing it again…if I’m not at the games.
I would like to see a post from the Ray Area on any trade possibilities the rays may face in the next 3 weeks with the mets now dealing K-rod to the brewers the flood gates are now open. I think the rays need a bat that can drive in 100 runs im not sure whats out there but lets say Beltran. it just be a 2 month rental but i feel who the rays should trade is desmond jennings he is expendable in my mind with Brandon Guyer also playing triple A.
I think there is 0 chance that the Rays will trade Jennings but, I will put together my thoughts tonight and post it tomorrow morning. So check back!
Ok will do! I feel the rays are loaded in prospects and losing 2 are worth getting a bat for, but as I well understand this isnt the way the rays do business but the offense has to get a boost especially right now with a homestand that has them playing the redsox and yankees in a few days
I was there for the Sawx chat last time, I will be there for these as well. We must show the non-believers that the Rays do have loyal and intelligent fans. I agree, 0% chance we deal Jennings, I think we will have a much clearer picture of the trade deadline after the home stand. I doubt the Rays become buyers, even if we were to surge in the rankings in the coming weeks. Obviously should we fall out of the race we become sellers. I hope we don’t move Shields, I could see BJ becoming trade bait quickly should things go south.
