Just got word from Jonah Keri that a sneak preview of his new book The Extra 2% is available here.  I am pretty pumped for this book to finally hit the stores.  Best I can tell, it is Moneyball 2.0 featuring the Rays.

I just finished this sneak preview (Go read it, best 15 minutes you will spend all day) and two things jump out at me:

1) Jonah’s a good writer.  (But we knew that already); and

2) There will be at least some analysis of the VJN years (which, speaking from my personal experience inside the club offices during that period, is spot on).

That begs the obvious question, when Aaron Sorkin makes The Extra 2% into a major motion picture (ala Moneyball), who will he cast to play the dashing young intern that worked during both the VJN era and the Stu era, went on to law school,  and then became a prominent Rays blogger?

I think Leonardo DiCaprio is the leader in the clubhouse for that role.  Right?
