As you may have heard, The Ray Area joined ESPN.com’s Sweet Spot blog network today.  I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to be affiliated with a group of intelligent, well-read, and passionate baseball fans.

    Mark,

I finally got around to looking for your blog. It looks like I am among the first to comment about your posts. I like your insights and agree that the Rays seem to have most everything in the right perspective.

Great pitching performances from two excellent pitchers last night. Too bad neither of them got the win (but on the plus side, neither got tagged with the loss).

    Keep up the good work.

  2. Congrats and welcome to the club. I suspect we’ll be talking and debating quite a bit over the next several weeks!

    Good luck!

Thanks Jason. I look forward to it. At this moment, let’s discuss all the reasons we shouldn’t kidnap Curtis Granderson after he just robbed Zobrist of the game-winner…

      • If you kidnap Granderson, you get to keep him and his 2 years left on his contract. I’ll take Desmond Jennings as compensation.
