HERE’S THE LINK: http://firebrandal.com/2011/06/14/live-game-chat-tonight-red-sox-rays-3/

I feel like Ralphie’s Old Man in The Christmas Story.

Tonight is the night.  We get Rays-Sox AND a live chat with the crew covering the Sox for Sweet Spot blog Fire Brand of the American League.  Humbly, I gotta say, it’s a major award.

Brendan, Chris, and I will all be in attendance.  You better be there too.  Because, Brendan is funny, Chris is smart, and I am incredibly charming and handsome, but we can’t take on all of Red Sox “Nation” by ourselves.  Right?  RIGHT?

We start at 7:10.  I’ll post the link here when we are ready to go.

Now, someone go get me my pry bar so I can open this box.  Fragile, it must be Italian.

Amazing game last night. This Red Sox fan was in awe of James Shields. Was his start even better than Verlander’s and Weaver’s?

The most amazing thing about Shields’ start had nothing to do with metrics. I missed TWO half-innings. Once, I ran to the bathroom between innings and, he had mowed through the Sox before I got back. Another, I went outside to turn over the chicken I was grilling and missed another Sox offensive inning. He was remarkably efficient.

  2. [...] A few weeks ago we co-hosted a Rays-Sawx live chat with our Sweet Spot brethren from Fire Brand of the American League.  Brendan, Chris, and I, and the Rays fans that joined had a good time and were begrudgingly forced to admit that there are normal, intelligent, fun fans of the Red Sox in the world.  (Trust me, it took some doing, but those guys came through huge).
