For reasons passing understanding, WDAE moved Steve Duemig up to the 12p-2p slot to preview today’s Game 2.  Duemig is taking that opportunity to attack Joe Maddon’s “computer.”

Duemig just said “People think Joe Maddon fills out the lineup.  He doesn’t.  He uses a computer.  Literally, the lineup card comes out of a computer.”

Is there anything more annoying than people that misunderstand the meaning of the word “literally?”

**By the way.  After Whit reported the starting lineup, Duemig did two solid minutes on how ridiculous it is that the computer left Zobrist out of the lineup.  He even went position by position breaking it down why Zobrist should be in RF, SS, 2B and isn’t.  Zobrist, of course, is starting at 1B.  Classic Duemig.
